Builth Wells Medical Practice

GP Partner / Salaried with view to
An opportunity has arisen for a GP to join our Partnership at Builth and Llanwrtyd Wells Practice.
We have a patient list of just over 7500, which has been fairly stable for years, at a long-established Practice. The Practice is committed to providing good-quality care, we prefer to have GPs rather than PAs available to our patients.
We are currently seeking six sessions a week but can be flexible; we plan to expand the Partnership, in order to maintain a good work-life balance.
Builth Wells is a rural town in Mid Wales, famous as the setting of the annual Royal Welsh agricultural show. The town nestles next to the Wye Bridge, (built in 1779) affording spectacular views of the valley (and fishing opportunities for those with the patience). Llanwrtyd is the smallest town in Britain, (in)famous for its Bog Snorkelling Championship, and Man Vs Horse race.
Foodies have an abundance of restaurant choices in the area, with several Michelin-starred establishments within an hour’s scenic driving distance.
Wyeside Arts Centre provides Builth with two cinemas and a live performance stage. The town has its own Male Voice Choir.
For the sports-minded, the town has Rugby and Football clubs, along with a cricket pitch, tennis courts, a sports centre with squash courts, a 25m swimming pool and a bowling green. Further, there are numerous beautiful walking trails locally. Ysgol Calon Cymru is the main secondary school and is bilingual.
If you have a good sense of humour and a yearning for a gentler pace of living, come and visit us to see what we have to offer.
